Being deaf poem

This poem was written by Amanda aka TongueOnFire, who expressed her feelings and thoughts about her deafness...

Being deaf, I talk with my hands
Even though people some, they don't understand
Introducing myself, I am Amanda, you see
Nothing's too strong for a friend, just watch and believe
Getting to know one another, you and me

Depending on trust, honesty and love
Everlasting, relationships, and friends are like doves
Always pure, white, which is love from above
Friends are forever when push comes to shove
