Denny's sponsors the Mike Bush Fantasy Baseball Camp for the hearing impaired
The All-American family dining chain is giving hearing impaired children an opportunity to enjoy the All- American pastime. A portion of the proceeds from sales of the All-American Slam® and savory Hickory Burger Combo will go to the Mike Bush Fantasy Baseball Camp, an organization that gives hearing-impaired children an opportunity to practice their baseball skills at the camp.
Through the end of July, contributions made by Denny's All-American Slam® and Hickory Burger promotion will benefit the Mike Bush Fantasy Baseball Camp, providing hearing impaired children ages 7-14 the chance to learn the basics of baseball from baseball greats.
"We're so pleased to offer a chance for St. Louis residents to enjoy one of these hearty meals and at the same time feel good about supporting such an important charity," said Brian Tademy, director of field marketing for Denny's. "This reinforces Denny's commitment to giving back to local communities."
The All-American Slam® features scrambled eggs with Cheddar cheese, served with hash browns or grits, two bacon strips, two sausage links and bread. The Hickory Burger Combo includes a 1/3-pound burger -- stacked with thin crisp onion rings, Cheddar cheese and Denny's sweet hickory spread -- fries and a soft drink. Twenty cents from each selected entree, up to $5,000, goes towards the Mike Bush Baseball Camp. The promotion is available at participating Denny's restaurants in the St. Louis area.
