Teacher denies molest charges

A secondary school teacher has been charged with five counts of outraging the modesty of three hearing-impaired schoolgirls here.

Mohd Rizal Reboo, 24, who teaches History to the teenaged girls, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The offences allegedly occurred at a computer room in SM Sultan Abdul Samad here on July 25 and July 29.

Mohd Rizal, from Section 18 here, faced two counts of using criminal force with the intent of molesting one of the girls between noon and 1pm on July 25.

He was also charged with two counts of outraging the modesty of another student at the same time and place.

Mohd Rizal allegedly committed the same act on another girl at 9.20am on July 29.

The three girls, all aged 15, are classmates.

If convicted, Mohd Rizal is liable to be jailed up to 10 years, fined or whipped.

Judge Nor Afizah Hanum Mokhtar set bail at RM10,000 for all the charges, and ordered Mohd Rizal to report to the Klang police station every Saturday.

She set Oct 24 for mention.

In another case, a 49-year-old fisherman claimed trial to raping an eight-year-old girl on Sept 1 at Kampung Tali Air in Morib, Banting.

Judge Nor Afizah ordered him to be remanded at the Sungai Buloh prison until trial.
