Hearing aid payment is music to the ears

I cannot get WellCare to reimburse me the $500 I am supposed to get back for my hearing aids. When the first hearing center I went to was too expensive, I called WellCare and asked if I could go to Micbro Audiology Hearing Aid Center. The answer was yes. I got a prescription from my primary care doctor first, as WellCare instructed, went to Micbro Audiology and ordered my hearing aids.

Now WellCare won't pay. This has been going on since August. I have made many phone calls.

Can you help me get what I have coming to me? - Pearl Riordan

WellCare corporate counsel Richard Urra responded to our request on your behalf. While he never gave a reason for your initial denial, he did say that "after a thorough review of all available documentation, an administrative exception has been made to allow payment to Ms. Riordan in the amount of $500 for her supplemental hearing benefit."

WellCare's Regulatory Affairs Department should have contacted you by now to inform you of its decision. The company said you should receive your payment in 7 to 10 working days. - Suzanne Palmer
